History

DrugMode is based on more than 27 years of experience in the fields of proteomics and cell and tissue culture systems. DrugMode was established in 2006 as a spin-out of the former Center for Proteome Analysis (CPA), University of Southern Denmark and is today headed by CEO Professor Stephen J. Fey, one of the founders of CPA.

CPA was the first purpose built proteomics facility in the world, founded in 1995 as a joint-centre between the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark. In its own turn, CPA was formed around the Protein Analysis Group from Aarhus University – a group which already in 1995 had more than 15 years of experience in high resolution protein separation, purification and identification; advanced methods and technologies in cell and tissue culture and function analysis.

During its eleven years of existence, CPA was deeply engaged in the development and refinement of proteomics technologies and their application to pressing human diseases.

CPA had excellent collaboration with a wide variety of pharmaceutical companies and research groups around the world.

DrugMode's administration and research facilities are situated in the Science Parks of Southern Denmark (Syddanske Forskerparker) in Odense, Denmark.
