Proteomics

Proteomics is the quantitative, simultaneous analysis of all the proteins in a cell, tissue or organism.

In contrast to the genome, the proteome is dynamic and constantly changing as the cell or tissue responds to external stimuli. In other words the proteome is alive.

DrugMode possesses a unique and internationally recognized expertise in proteomics. Our proprietary technologies and know-how allow us to detect, quantitate and identify proteins and peptides at unsurpassed high resolution and sensitivity. We are able to detect more than 99% of all soluble proteins and peptides from as few as a few thousand cells or a 0.5mm3 biopsy.

By rigorously focusing on using either human tissues or human model systems that faithfully reflect the in vivo phenotype, DrugMode has already been able to make proteomic discoveries with great potential relevance for early diagnostic and treatment of a number of the major human diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, cancer and cancer metastasis.
